Story Time Builders provides supplemental therapeutic stories for educational and emotional wellness purposes. Our stories are not a substitute for professional mental health care. By using our service, you agree to the terms below.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using storytimebuilders.com and its services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all users including parents, guardians, school counselors, and other education professionals.
2. Description of Service
Story Time Builders provides AI-generated, personalized therapeutic stories for children ages 3–12. Stories are designed to support social-emotional learning (SEL) and are grounded in evidence-based frameworks including CASEL competencies and cognitive-behavioral therapy principles. Stories are a supplemental tool and are not a substitute for licensed mental health treatment.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- School professionals must have authorization from their institution to use the platform with students.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate information during registration.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Story Time Builders only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the service to generate content that is harmful, abusive, or inappropriate for children
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell our story generation technology
- Share login credentials with unauthorized parties
- Use the service to collect or harvest data about children beyond the permitted personalization inputs
- Represent our stories as professionally licensed therapeutic interventions without appropriate context
5. Intellectual Property
The Story Time Builders platform, brand, and underlying technology are owned by Story Time Builders and protected by copyright and intellectual property law. The personalized stories generated for your child are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may print, save, and share them with your child's care team, but may not resell or republish them.
6. Medical and Mental Health Disclaimer
Story Time Builders stories are educational and supportive tools. They are not medical advice, psychological diagnosis, or clinical treatment. If your child is experiencing a mental health crisis or requires clinical intervention, please contact a licensed mental health professional or emergency services. Our stories are designed to complement — not replace — professional care.
7. Subscription and Billing
Free tier usage is provided as described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) as selected at signup. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase if you have not generated more than 3 stories.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Story Time Builders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
